ABOUT

The SEAONC Business Forum’s mission is to advance the practice of structural engineering with the emphasis on business development, management, organization and professionalism. The goal is to encourage structural engineers and related professionals within the industry to support each other by sharing knowledge and experiences. It is the Business Forum’s mission to help professionals within this industry gain key knowledge from each event that can enrich themselves individually, better their associated companies, and further the AEC industry as a whole.

COMMITTEE CHARGES

1. Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and interaction between structural engineers on issues relating to the business of structural engineering.
2. Hold monthly general meetings featuring speakers, including structural engineers and other professionals in complementary fields, on topics of interest to the membership and worthwhile for the practice.
3. Maintain contact and exchange of information with other related professional business associations.
4. Work with the Professional Practices Committee to keep membership up to date on legislative or policy issues that are critical to the business and take leadership roles as authorized by the SEAONC board.
5. Conduct surveys gathering information on business-related subjects that are useful to the membership.
